Her Purpose - Soulmates - Chapter 6

CHAPTER 6 - SEEING HER AGAIN

Michael Redson

I was sitting on a chair in front of my desk when she entered the room. She lit up the whole room with her beauty. What is going on with me? He said to himself. This is not good for my peace of mind.

"Good afternoon, Professor Redson."

Oh, what a smile. I just want to bring her closer to me and hug her until she takes away every hurt from my heart. I must stop these thoughts right now. "Good afternoon, Miss Martin." What a beautiful voice she has. It is like she is singing to me with her beautiful angelic voice. He needed to get a grip on himself. This is it; enough is enough, he said to himself.

Every student in the class stood up one by one in front of the classroom and gave their essays. When she got up in front of the class, he couldn't keep his eyes off her. He was losing his internal battle. He felt out of breath just looking at her beauty. His heart started to go extremely fast. Emotions rose he hadn't felt before. Really! I'm staring; I can't believe it, he said to himself. When he saw that she was getting nervous, he stopped gawking at her and looked down at his notes. She was beautiful, gentle, and brilliant. The essay she gave was amazing and was worth more than an A-plus for her. He felt a strong and incomprehensible connection with her. It was so strange after only two days of seeing her. He wanted to know her better.

Everybody gave their essays, and the class ended. He was standing close to his desk. Before the students left the classroom, they were handing over their written assignments; she was the last one to leave the classroom. When she gave him her papers, their hands touched, and he felt again that shock of electricity running through every cell in his body. She yanked her hand away from him so fast that she lost her balance and stumbled. He reacted quickly and reached for her, wrapping his arm around her waist and stopping her from falling; he kept his arm there. Maybe she felt it too, he thought.

"Thanks for your help, Professor Redson, silly me." She blushed, embarrassed, and walked away from him.

She started walking to the door but turned back to face him. "Professor Redson, I wanted to ask you if you know how Mrs. Morris is doing. I would like to visit her and bring her flowers if that is possible, but I don't have a clue where I can find her."

She is so beautiful, elegant, and sweet. She was wearing black slacks and an aqua blue silk blouse. Her hair was long, wavy, and loose, and it twirled over her back. Her eyes were bright, and her smile was so captivating. He wasn't able to disconnect his eyes from hers. He felt once more an intense desire to bring her to his arms and hold her. Nervously, she cleared her throat. He was staring again. For a moment, he felt a pang of pain. How could he be thinking like that? I miss my beautiful Lana so much. This is not supposed to be happening. His face hardened, his jaw tightened, and he spoke sharply. "I will find that information for you and will give it to you tomorrow after class." Her eyes widened, and she felt out of breath.

After she left the classroom, he felt terrible about the way he treated her. He regretted talking to her that way. She was not responsible for his pain. He needed to fix what he just did. Tomorrow he was going to apologize for his unpleasant behavior.

He went to see his mom and talked to her about the curriculum and the students. "Mom, one of your students, Melinne Martin, wants to visit you; she doesn't know that you are my mom. She is concerned about you and wants to see you."

"Let her know she can visit me this Saturday," his mom said. He didn't mention the huge attraction he felt for the beautiful young lady named Melinne. But she had been on his mind since he first saw her.
